Tux and Tunes has definitely made its mark in the Kentucky, Southern Indiana, and Ohio areas.  Owner, John Nealon, and his staff with the mobile DJ/MC entertainment company have provided music entertainment and master of ceremony services to many satisfied customers in several different venues, to include wedding receptions, corporate events, birthday and anniversary parties, neighborhood block parties, and nights at the races.

Tux and Tunes has created a network that includes clients in Shelbyville, Louisville, Lexington, Somerset, Paducah, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, New Albany, and Indianapolis. What started as a small operation in South Florida back in 1992 has grown to a profitable business in no time.

Tux and Tunes started over 15 years ago when Nealon worked for a local music company in South Florida. Nealon worked with various mobile disc jockeys and then expanded to his own company to provide the level of service expected by his broad client base in South Florida.

By 2003, Nealon was ready for a change, and moved the business to the Louisville area to capitalize on the location and different clientele.

"I'm amazed at how responsive people are here to the songs and routines we use", Nealon said. "It’s great working events where the crowd is as "into" the music as I am!"  "The best thing for me is the crowd interaction". "Music is like a universal language."

He also enjoys setting the mood by creating the soundtrack for an event.

In addition to great crowd interaction, Nealon always maintains a "customer first" philosophy. His staff thoroughly organizes and plans each event weeks in advance to ensure the client's needs are taken care of down to the smallest detail, so that they may enjoy their event as much as their guests do.

"A wedding reception we just did at Churchill Downs was a huge success. Several guests commented on our use of props, our innovative use of music to keep the guests involved, and we were thanked numerous times by the bride and groom for our attention to detail and professionalism", Nealon commented.

Over the next several months, Tux and Tunes will be providing DJ/MC services to several local brides and corporate clients, as well as coordinating extraordinary parties for different occasions.
